Hola Buenas!

Hope this finds you well. Temperatures have dropped a few
degrees but today is a gloriously sunny day. Christmas is
fast approaching but it´s still on the back burner to us. We
did visit the La Marina Shopping Centre in Finestrat this
week and the have just started putting up the Christmas
decorations but still not a tree in sight......phew!

Charities are very well supported here on the Costa Blanca
and recently saw a very successful Fashion Show put on by
MABS in aid of Cancer Research, well done to everyone
involved. Pudsey is very much in the limelight here too for
the Children in Need cause. Local school children have been
doing their bit with sponsered walks along beaches and so
on. Many of the children here on the Costa have a wonderful
life I know we have the luxury of the weather and the
security. Within our village I know my son, even at the age
of six, is safe to play outside and cycle around without a
care in the world. Unfortunately, that is not the case for
all children here with domestic violence rearing its ugly
head. The Christmas Concert organised by the WIBC on
November 30th also features a toy drive. People are invited
to donate a new, unwrapped toy for the children who will be
in the Women´s Shelter this Christmas.

So this month you can find out about the Christamas Concert
and Toy Drive, brought to you by the Women in Business Club,
in detail. Plus Scubamar the well known scuba diving school
down in Moraira has some news of new owners. We say adios to
Janice and bienvenidos to Sam. John Anthony, the well known
guiatrist, has been very busy recording his first two CD´s,
which are now available with a tasty freebie! Read all about
it and where you can hear him live. Georgina Cronin the
author of "Size Matters" who we wrote about back in October
is hosting a new radio show 'Losing it for Christmas' on
Onda Cero International. Find out how to tune in via the
net.

So that´s all from my corner of the world for now. I am
popping over to England for a few days next week to visit my
Dad and just want to say "Get Well Soon" to him, I´ll be
there soon!

Hasta Luego y Besos,
Suzanna.

2) Suzanna's Article

Hello ,

Well the temperatures may be a few degrees cooler now but
scuba diving is still popular here. Probably the clear blue
skies and sparkling waters of the Mediterranean lure many.
Scubamar who have been on the Costa Blanca Net Guide
Directory for some time now sent me some news recently.
Janice, who has owned and run this successful business since
its birth, decided to take life a little easier now and
spend more time with her young daughter. Sam is now the
proud new owner, taking the reins solo since September. He
worked alongside Janice from March of this year picking up
all her terrific pointers and tips. Sam tells me the
business is carrying on as normal and he looks forward to
meeting many of you soon. If you have any queries, questions
or wish to book a dive contact Sam at Scubamar,
http://www.costablanca-netguide.com/listings/197.html
good luck from all the Costa Blanca Net guide team.

If you remember in our October edition I mentioned Georgina
Cronin, a very brave lady, who overcame her obesity and
wrote a book of her journey to a "normal" weight. She lives
down on the Costa Del Sol and very kindly visited the Costa
Blanca back in September to give a speech for a fundraiser
in aid of the Javea Women´s Shelter. The speech was
fantastic, funny, sad, amusing but ultimately entertaining
and educational. Since then I have been in contact with
Georgina via email and she has let me know of a radio
programme she will be hosting on OCI - Onda Cero
International from November 16th. It is a six week show
which is called 'Losing it for Christmas'. It is not about
weight loss but about losing a sloppy lifestyle. Judging by
the way she delivered her speech in Javea it should be
brilliant. OCI are based in Marbella and also run out of
Altea hence the OCI directory listing on the Costa Blanca
Net Guide. Georgina´s show will be broadcast every week on
Tuesdays 12.- 1.00p.m. from Marbella. To find out more and
listen via the net log onto their website www.ondacero.es in
the top right hand corner you will see the Onda Cero logo,
click on and listen in. If you wish to know more contact
Onda Cero direct from their page on the Costa Blanca Net
http://www.costablanca-netguide.com/listings/136.html

More news from the Costa Blanca Net Guide Directory is the
release of John Anthony´s CD´s. Yes plural! For over 34
years, John has been professionally giving guitar concerts
to enthusiastic audiences. He was a session guitarist for
the BBC at Pebble Mill, worked in many of the Sheraton
Hotels from Kuwait to Africa, and has played a wide variety
of jazz residences. He has worked on cruise liners including
the QE2, the ill-fated Achille Lauro and for P&O lines. In
1989 John moved to Spain and started to delight audiences
here with his magical guitar playing. Throughout his
performing career he has also taught the guitar and with the
help of his family has been dragged into the 21st Century to
bring his unique teaching method to the world via the
Internet. "Spanish Life" is the first CD John has produced
with his spectacular renditions of all the well known
Spanish guitar music. His second CD is called "Favourites".
He says, "Having such a wide repertoire I decided to put all
the favourites on one CD. Some are my particular favourites
others are those which are requested again and again. I
always call the guitar 'a block of wood with 6 strings' but
I have to admit that it sounds wonderful when played well,
it´s my life and I couldn´t live without it."

As a Christmas bonus John also recorded an album of
Christmas Carols which he has called "Feliz Navidad". John
is offering his Christmas CD FREE if you buy "Spanish Life"
and "Favourites". To find out more and order your CD´s email
John either from his page on the Costa Blanca Net Guide
Directory

http://www.costablanca-netguide.com/listings/161.html

email direct at johnanthonyguitar@hotmail.com.

John has been very busy and finally put his teaching methods
into a book - "The Guitar My Way" this will be available
worldwide via his website which is due to go live
imminently. As soon as it does we´ll let you know.

If you would like to hear John Anthony live, playing many of
the numbers on his new CD´s, an ideal opportunity would be
at the Casa de Cultura in Javea. Again the Women in Business
Club are still busy fundraising for the Women´s Shelter in
Javea and they have invited John to perform for their
Christmas Concert and Toy Drive on November 30th, 7pm - 9pm
tickets are 10 Euros each. The Christmas Concert features a
Tribute to Spanish Classical Guitar and Dance.

The concert will be in two sections, the first with John
playing Spanish Classical guitar with a Christmas taste and
the second with John joined by his wife Suzanna to bring you
their Spanish Show.

This holiday season will be a joyous occasion for most of
us. However, for the victims of domestic violence, happiness
is a luxury. And, since Christmas and Three Kings Day is
about children, the club asks that you bring a new,
unwrapped toy as your gift to the children of the Jávea’s
Women Shelter.

During the concert break and after the concert, for ticket
holders, local business owners have donated very exciting
raffle prizes in order to make this Christmas Concert an
extra special event.

There will also be a Christmas Bake Sale presented by the
WIBC Bake Sale Team. Some of these women are gourmet chefs,
so don’t count the calories and enjoy!

Plus, CD´s of John Anthony’s music - SPANISH LIFE and
FAVOURITES, will be on sale with proceeds toward the Jávea
Women’s Shelter. If you buy both CD’s – you will receive a
special Christmas CD – for FREE.

ticket sales phone 96 648 0248.
