Hi,

Welcome to the September edition of the newsletter.

This month sees a slimmed down newsletter as we recover from the Summer madness
on the Costa. My wife and I are taking a much needed break for a week up in Barcelona
this September, now that the visitors are largely gone and we can relax in a
beautiful city. Suzanna has a mini-report on her summer. We will return next month
with more reports, news and events for the the Costa Blanca as well as an update to
the website and new Businesses that have been listed.
Before I go though I must thank those of you who have written to me over the Summer
with your questions, comments and thoughts. Your feedback is important to us so please
keep them coming.

Until Next Month

1) Hi,
Well August is now over and many of the visitors have disappeared. We will now
see a return of many of the residents who take an annual leave of the heat
and head back to their home countries during the summer months. Many of these
people actually let their properties whilst they are away making a tidy income and
no doubt boosting their spending facility whilst back in their native land or on
holiday. This would never be a possibilty for our family as it would I'm sure take
most of the year packing away all our junk to accommodate visitors! I have just
returned from the UK and Paris and now need a holiday! The weather I'm pleased
to say was great i.e. no rain which is more than I can say for the Costa Blanca.
Europe certainly has had unpredictable weather this summer and we are still
experiencing storms here with 2 in the last week. With many reports of huge delays
at Alicante airport I was not relishing the trip but maybe I was lucky and in all my
travels we had no delays. Our baggage survived intact and nearly first off the
conveyor belt on all occasions plus all airline staff were most helpful and courteous.
This year I have been asked to help with one of our local fiestas which occurs in
October and part of it involves decorating the streets. The first meeting for our
street was held back in June under much secrecy and now August is over and
the main fiestas done and dusted we will resume our work but I will tell you all
about that next month so until then, Adios.
