2.	News, Information and what's on around the Costa Blanca.

i)	Terra Mítica has just launched an evening pass so that visitors will be able to
enjoy the theme park until midnight.
This new scheme will be available until September 16. Evening passes are valid
from 20.00 to midnight costing 2,800 pesetas for adults and 2,000 pesetas for
the over-60s and children up to 14-years-old.

So if you can't stand the heat of the day during the Summer or have to work during
the day this is a great scheme for you.

ii)	This time of year sees many fiestas taking place all over the Costa Blanca.
Here are just a few that maybe you would like to go and see and enjoy.

July 16 is a religious fiesta to celebrate "La Virgen del Carmen" patron of the sea.
Many costal towns put on a procession aboard boats. Alicante, Calpe, El Campello,
Santa Pola and Torrevieja will all be hosting this religious fiesta. Benidorm will
also celebrate and also be enjoying a local fiesta on 13th July.

Moors and Christians are a spectacular fiesta to visit with fabulous costumes and music.
You can see these fiestas during July in Almoradi, Cox, Guardamar del Segura, Novelda,
Orihuela, Pedreguer and Villajoyosa.

iii)	If Hogueras are your thing (burning of effigies) catch them (not literally!)
during July in San Vicente del Raspeig.

iv)	L'Alfaz del Pi is hosting the "Festival de Cine" throughout the first week of
July which has proved very popular in the past.

v)	Tarbena will be holding an Artesan Fair on the 7th and 8th July including music,
theatre, dance and gastronomy.

Excellent book detailing everything you need to know before you go, as well
as when you are there. It gives you masses of information and advice and
should be looked upon as a reference book, guiding you through the Spanish systems.
If like me you are planning on a home in the sun, then this is the book for you
before you go. No good trying to shut the gate after the horse has bolted!
