Jean Carrington opened Jade in 1990, just off the main Gabriel Miró, Calpe and offered a small selection of labels, including Jacques Vert, Frank Saul, Gold by Michael H. Joseph Ribkoff and Gerry Weber.

The collections were different to Spanish fashions and soon attracted a lot of interest from locals and tourists. The Spanish tend to dress very smart and like exclusive one off pieces that they are prepared to pay a lot of money for. The labels Jean stocks stand out from what the Spanish labels generally offer, and therefore sell well.

In 2003 Jade Boutique moved and what can only be described as blossomed. From a leasehold of a small local Jean took the preverbial Spanish bull by the horns and bought new, larger premises. Under her watchful and expert eye the "JADE FASHION GALLERY" was born. Something to be truly proud of as an owner, and as a customer thankful of the new showroom as it is "the place to be". It is now an bright and airy gallery. Tastefully refurbished with modern stainless steel fittings, elegant tiles and a mosaic design floor inlay the customer is left with a feeling of true welcoming. Jean and her team are not overwhelming but there to attend your every requirement. With a personal shopping service plus Wedding Outfit and Bridal Gown fittings you will be totally spoilt. Jade Fashion Gallery offers daywear, formal and casual wear up to evening and cocktail wear. Currently, Jade Fashion Gallery stocks 25 labels, including the Michael H labels, Jacque Vert, Gerry Weber, Taifun, Frank Saul, Gina B, After Six, Brax, Betty Barclay and Lecomte, as well as some smaller labels to cater for emerging trends.

Jean´s future plans include the opening of another branch, which she is looking into, as well as the launch of her own collection, Jade, which she is launching in Autumn/Winter 2005.
